Blue Jays add right hander Oliver off waivers from Rays


The Toronto Blue Jays have re-gained right-gave pitcher Oliver Drake off waivers from the Tampa Bay sports and weather

To prepare for Drake on the 40-man program, right-hander Mark Leiter Jr. was assigned for task.

Drake, 33, contributed for five groups 2018, incorporating a short stretch with the Blue Jays toward the beginning of August. In 47.2 innings with the Brewers, Indians, Angels, Blue Jays and Twins last season, Drake had a 5.29 ERA with 51 strikeouts and 17 strolls. The Rays guaranteed Drake off waivers from the Twins on Nov. 1.

Leiter, 27, was chosen off waivers by the Blue Jays from the Phillies on Sept. 1. In 6.2 innings with the Jays, he had a 13.50 ERA with four strolls and nine strikeouts.
